Receivers

Aug 31, 2022, 7:08 AM

We have to earn back the WRU moniker. It's crazy how far and fast they fell. Injuries sure, but I haven't seen brick hands like they had last year in Clemson in awhile.

Adam Randall comes back mid-september, correct? Also, anyone see NFL talent at that position currently?

How do you earn back a self proclaimed title which is also used by others? BTW we have not been truly elite at WR since Ross’s freshman year.

I somewhat agree with your post. Ngata and Ladson were supposed to carry on that mantle. Injuries and losing Coach Scott hurt us. Ross and his injury was never the same after that freshman year. We have been out recruited since then. Hard to keep up in the new NIL world. Still we have some pretty big names in the NFL right now at that position.

I was thinking the same about CJS being gone. Hasn't been right since.

You sound like a miserable person so I'm going to leave you alone. Today.

He doesn't sound miserable.

He's right, we haven't been elite at WR in a few years now.

And it gets annoying with all of the top schools calling themselves (insert position name) U anytime they feel like it.

Ngata needs to play like a #1 receiver this season.***

Right now! Maybe not! But, Beaux Collins is close.
I think Dacarri Collins could also be in that conversation.
Ngata just needs to stay healthy; because per Dabo and all the defense - when he is 100% he's a beast.

EJ Williams - have to see it consistently. The rest are all just young; but I love the WR room. I think we get the WRU monikor back this season.

Air Raid is WR friendly and it uses a lot of WR's. Sometimes they may run go-routes to clear a defender because the play calls for it. I think we'll see much better production from this group 100%.

Being generous I would rank our WR's somewhere between 5-10.
Alabama and Ohio St are without doubt the top two. Our current crop has potential but does little to close the gap. Heck , one of Alabama's just won the Heisman
and since 2014 they have 3 Biletnikoff awards.
