Rashan Gary should think about John Wright

Anyone remember this name? Wright was a walk on DT that earned a scholly in his jr year. He is the ONLY DT under Brooks that has not made it to the NFL in some capacity since Brooks has been at Clemson in 2009. This is remarkable because we were not signing 4 and 5 star DT's when he got here, but he still got them to the next level.

You mean John Wright from Anderson? I am pretty sure he spent most of his time at Clemson playing on the offensive line and special teams. He and his cousin Jake grew up right down the street from my house, but maybe at some point he moved to the DL.

I get your point, but DT requires the least coaching/development of any position on the field. Gary would most likely make it to NFL even if he plays at Wake Forest.

The NFL scouts will find you wherever you are. When I watch the NFL games, the players are from small schools as well as the "Blue Bloods". The thing about Clemson is that they have a coaching staff and strength/conditioning program that adequately prepares a young athlete to play on Sundays. Something special is building in Tigertown. The best of the best want to be part of that success.
