When he was a kid, he grew up loving Notre Dame because its the only football game on TV every Saturday. NBC I'm assuming. I do think Cuse is up there too. I have to say that I've converted his family into Tiger fans! We went on vacation this summer and when I arrived at the cabin, every member of his family had on a Clemson shirt. His 89 year old Grandma said "Go Tigers!" Success!!

Notre Dame moves the NYC needle more than any other college team. After that, I think it's "Rutgers when they are winning", and then maybe Syracuse. But I don't think New Yorkers get into "state pride" just because the Upstate team is the only legit D1 team in the state.
It's the northeast. It's pro territory. Just like many in South Carolina grew up as third or fourth generation Clemson fans, most New Yorkers grew up in a house where their fathers and grandfathers talked NY Giants or Jets.
