Question for Jaguars fans

Dec 10, 2021, 9:02 AM

They aren’t on tv much in my area but the few times that I’ve been able to watch them, it appears that their running back, Robinson, is the second best player on offense. They also don’t seem to have good wrs.

When Etienne comes back from injury next year do you think they might try to move him to wr in order to get their best playmakers on the field or would they keep him at rb and just rotate?

Just thinking ,keep him at running back but throw to him on short routes out of the backfield. Meanwhile use the draft, free agency, trades ,whatever and start building your foundation.

Jag TEnd coach going to VT as OC when their season is over. Packer just said isnt their season effectively over now (in his deadpan dry way).

You need two running backs and TE's speed and receiving

ability puts fear in the hearts of defensive coaches and players. He's a threat to go the distance at all times. You can feel the fear in the defense when he gets the ball out in space. Should be a big help to TL with a few more offensive linemen added in the draft/offseason. His injury may have been a blessing in disguise with the porous oline the Jags have.

I think he has a huge impact on the Jags offense out of the backfield next year.

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”

He was in the doghouse this past week for a fumble even though Hyde(his backup) came in afterwards and lost a fumble of his own and wasn't taken out afterwards. Lawrence stated publicly earlier this week that the team is better with Robinson on the field and they need him out there as much as possible. I think Meyer has already lost the team and not holding players to the same standards as others is a quick way to lose them even further.

The Jags had been running plays with ETN at receiver during practice during the preseason before he got hurt. Meyer had mentioned wanting to find as many ways as possible to get him on the field. Robinson is the other running back and he had a good season last year as well so he wasn't an unknown prior to taking ETN in the draft. From what I've seen, Robinson is a solid running back that can be counted on to do his job in a consistent way but isn't going to be a gamechanger type of running back like ETN is. I love ETN but I honestly think the Jags should've used that pick on another position being they already had Robinson and have so many other needs.

To make sure I'm clear...I think ETN is an upgrade over Robinson so the pick wasn't a mistake in that context, but Robinson is good enough to where running back didn't need to be addressed with a 1st round draft pick when they have holes in several other positions.

Jags local here...

They were 1-15 last year. So far we have a 1 game improvement. We might get one more win, maybe, we get Houston at home. So yeah...we're talking about a terrible team.

At this point, in the media here, Trevor is still the golden boy. As he should be, IMO.

The Jags need OL help bad. And WR/TE help, and D help, but in my mind it needs to start on the OL. All the radio people here keep talking well the line is OK...

We don't possess the ball enough. Period. It's 3-and-out city around here.

It's a perfect storm...the OL is mediocre at best, the WRs never seem to achieve any separation, even on a simple slant route, and when they do, they drop it a noticeable percentage of the time. Trevor is hurried every snap and really hasn't been able to get settled yet. Add in the occasional pick from a rookie QB and a fumble from Robinson or Carlos Hyde...there you have it.

Our punter is All-Pro. He gets lots of in-game practice.

I think Robinson is great, and should be in there. He's had some fumbles, and now it seems like there's some sort of Love Shack thing going on here with Urban. He's way better than Carlos Hyde, which was a poor move bringing him back here to begin with.

So there's a huge number of 3 and outs, puts big pressure on the D, which hasn't done well all year with the exception of the Buffalo game, and Miami, I guess.

I'm far from an expert...but I want OL help, in the draft, in free-agency, whatever. We need to hold on to the ball for more plays each game.
