Question about filling your tank and how much it is costing?
May 27, 2022, 4:03 PM

I filled up my car, an E-Class Mercedes this morning and cost me 100 dollars. It must be costing some of you people with the awesome trucks a fortune. Anyway, what is costing everyone to fill up their tank?

He is senile, but I don't think the gas prices would have been much different even if Trump won. They skyrocketed across the globe. That said, how much for a tank?

I actually do, but we were selling on the world stage and what we sold it for was at the price where the world was selling crude oil. You don't get how it works. By the way, production is down 10 percent in the USA. It would barely scratch the surface when it comes to world demand.

Was there gas flowing through the pipeline so now the supply is reduced?
Prices are up all over the world and if some countries aren't buying from Russia then they're going to buy from other countries and that will increase demand for that supply and drive prices up.
Capitalism is not for the soft.

If you you back and check, prices shot up as soon as he closed the pipe line. Just before that we were importing less from foreign markets and exporting quite a lot. You can't blame this on Russia. On top of that, fewer leases have been signed off on for drilling. If biden wasnt hell bent on pushing electric vehicles, our gas prices would be closer to what they were 1 1/2 years ago. We have very low emission engines now and not everyone can zip out and replace their cars and trucks with electric. Probably not the best option anyway, but we are stuck with it.

They are going up all over the world. There are supply chain issues all over there world. It would be no different who was in office. DO you actually believe the president of the us is causing the same inflation in New Zealand, UK, Poland, etc etc? But there is no point trying to change anybodies mind. It's hopeless.

The pipeline would be providing hundred’s of thousands more barrels of oil a day over trucking it in. There would be more domestic supply, thus lower domestic prices. I get wanting to go green, but we have to have that infrastructure in place before turning off the tap. What we are doing is like shooting your horse when hearing Henry Ford was building an automobile factory.

We are producing 10% less oik now. That difference would barely scratch the surface of the price of a barrel of oil on the world stage.

It 100% Biden and administration fault
May 27, 2022, 11:16 PM
|
|
They made policies based on current use which was way down due to pandemic. Production dropped 10% due to Covid and the administration kept the policies they set into action not considering the reduced demand. Now, suppliers are saying the red tape is very difficult to start new production all while they say there are open permits. Yes, open permit doesn't mean you just go pump oil, it means after you meet new policies then you can pump oil.
Also, this regime has said, "this is good for America as teaches how to use less oil!". What a ridiculous statement when people are struggling to recover from Covid and they are happy with $5gal gas. They don't live in the real world.
Went offshore fishing Monday, burned almost 200 and it cost us over $1k to fill up. Costs us double of our March trip with all the price increases from gas, to drinks, to food, etc.
We could easily increase production 10% tomorrow if the admin would open the red tape on new flow. It is easy to find articles on how the admin has locked down production all while they use semantics saying there are thousands of open permits.
You honestly can't believe that companies wouldn't pump gas right now at $100+ a barrel if they had the option. They would pump million barrels a day if not restricted some how!

If you would go back and check you would find that Biden did not close a pipeline. He did stop the construction of a pipeline that was to carry tar-sand oil from Alberta Canada. Tar-sand oil is crap and the refining of it is very very, VERY polluting. Most people in Houston did not want it. By the way, the first part that they finished leaked and polluted a river that is the only source of drinking water for a large Indian reservation. The oil producers were made because TheRump admin wd let them get away with water pollution and Biden closed parklands and national monuments to oil drilling. So right away, the big oil liars cut production. This occurred a month b4 Russia illegally invaded Ukraine. So, it's BIG OIL you shld be mad at, not Biden. But BIG OIL wants Biden out, and FOXFAKENEWS is NOT going to tell you that BIG OIL is screwing the economy and you.

The pipeline was never built.
This is clearly supply and demand - simple economics. Demand dropped so much during Covid many suppliers slowed down or went out. Demand surged once the pandemic lessened, and suppliers are coming back into the market. Ukraine has had impact on supply also. Prices will drop back down soon.
Oil is a globally traded commodity. No US President has ever had any significant impact on the price of a barrel of crude oil for a sustained amount of time.

It’s unbelievable how uninformed some of you people are, he did not close a pipeline, he revoked lease to expend the Keystone pipeline, which is still open., there was no XL pipeline to close, gas prices are spiking due to the war in Ukraine and the fact that oil companies are making record profits and raise prices because they hate Democratic presidents. Democratic presidents enact environmental laws that slow down the ###### of the earth’s natural resources. Therefore they raise prices so idiots will vote against the Democratic presidents and keep their bought off politicians in office. I say this, and I’m not a democrat, I used to be Republican, but Republican party has started to disgust me. some of you guys just need to get a clue Before you post crap that’s just not even true in the least. I’m going to go ahead and predict your response, instead of doing any research, you are going to insult me and assume that I support our senile president

What? The pipeline would be flowing! Gas would be $2 a gal like it was.
This administration says they love the gas prices because it teaches ppl to be more energy conservative!
I think these yahoos should have to buy gas and not have drivers take them everywhere

My debit card cuts off at $100 and I have a 36gal tank in my truck. I run a $100 and its between half and 3/4. My card used to stop at $75 but it was usually full before $75.

but pumps on pilot stations would cut off at $70 "for your convenience" what a crock. But back to the subject matter, my Excursion Diesel holds 44 gals. Never fill it unless we are hauling our scooters cross country. I cringe thinking about it!!!!! +/-$250 and that will only take us 500 miles.

Burned almost 200gal, cost over $1000 just in fuel, same trip 18mos ago, was only $575
Its ridiculous!! And it isnt going to change any time soon.
Just think, we were energy independent, but because we had to start buying Russian Oil we had to lose competitive prices.
Thank you Biden! We could have the pipeline flowing right now! We should be able to sue the govt. They are stealing our money!

Even were not energy dependent in the theory, the companies are private it would make just a small difference on the world scale and that's what matters. They would like the profits. They would take them and they wouldn't just hook us up sadly. It would be have small effect on the price per barrel worldwide.

I drive a F 250 diesel…it’s been ridiculous for many months now. If the pumps didn’t stop early it would be around $140 to fill up. Then I get about 17 mpg.
Gas at the marina is $6 today. I’ll go through around $200 in boat gas this weekend.

Cost me about $125 to fill up from below a quarter tank. I don’t have to drive far to work so I fill it back up when I get to 3/4 tank so I don’t feel so bad when I go to the pump. Lol

comes apart at the seams when we don't have dirt-cheap oil, lower than the entire world.
Blame the senile mastermind.

We headed to Kiawah last Saturday. Costs $70 to top off the X3. Based on the traffic on I26 the cost of gas is not stopping folks from traveling.

I worked for an oil company for 29 years. One of the things that used to amaze us was how US consumers have such short memories....
Example: Last year at this time oil was trading in negative ranges. Prices at the pump were about as low as the could go and keep the stations open. Many did not make it. No one called for congressional hearings or complained at all when US oil companies cut staff like crazy.
2 years ago when Covid hit, demand dropped to almost nothing. Refineries were operating at much less than full capacity and many were moth bolled or went under. But prices were low so no one cared. Unless your job was on the line if you worked in the industry.
In the past 2 years, the US oil industry has lost 200,000 jobs many of which will never come back. Just as the marketplace was about to work its way gradually back to normal, Russia threw a huge wrench in the system. Russia will never recover from what they have done.
Prices will drop. Oil and gas are textbook examples of how economics works. Supply up, prices down, supply down, prices up until equilibrium
And....no US President has ever controlled the energy markets for any sustainable time. And Keystone was never built and is a Canadian company with oil that could only be refined by midwest refiners. It would not have had much on the overall US industry. Besides, you can't react to nothing.
