QB portal prospects?

Are there any 3rd year QBs out there who aren’t starters that could help us?? Anybody from a lower division? Just looking for some names . With the nucleus we have returning, I truly believe if we have an average QB , who is mobile , we will be in the playoffs next year. We desperately need to get back on track quickly so recruiting doesn’t fall off the cliff. Hey , I get the fact that Dabo has done an awesome job , but I don’t think he realizes what it could do to the program if we have another down year, where we can’t score and have to depend on defense every game. We could have easily been 6-6 this season and in worse shape.

Your question about Dabo and the portal has been asked every day for the last 3 months. It has been cussed and discussed so much that many on here are sick of hearing about it. Dabo knows all about the portal and he doesn’t need any keyboard bozos trying to tell him what he needs to do.

Wow , you’d think a guy could ask a legitimate question without getting stoned!??
BTW , I’ve been a Tiger Fan longer than most of you have been alive. I’ve seen every Tiger Qb since 1975 . O’Cain, Fuller, Jordan, Eppley, Anderson, Greene, Morroco, Simmons, Streeter, Boyd, Stoudt, Dantzler, Watson, Sapp, Lawrence, Proctor and a few others. DJ is by far , the worst QB I’ve personally seen as a starter for Clemson and it’s not even close. If Dabo doesn’t get this , then he truly is in his own “everything is fabulous “ world.

better each week. He can make some throws, but he has too many plays that just scares you to think he can play well enough to beat good teams.

Really? What’s the difference between recruiting a player from the portal or a lower division and recruiting a high school player? I simply don’t understand the logic and apprehension of not using the portal. If there were still a few good high school QB’s available, we’d probably be open to one of them coming to Clemson. I remember not too long ago we had the deepest most enviable QB room in the country. A kid coming from high school is technically a transfer. Yeah, maybe he has more eligibility left, but he’s coming to a new school, new team etc.

Um.. when he was a 3 year starter and was Clemson’s all time leading passer when he left for a pro career in the CFL . So that’s a definite yes.

Oh, and he also ran Aprox 4.6 40 , and had over 1,000 yds rushing,
