Purdue is 2-3 with a loss to Eastern Michigan

and gets the ABC prime time game versus Ohio State on Oct 20?. Will probably be 3-3 after this week against Illinois.

Just not a very attractive matchup, especially compared to a battle of unbeatens in Death Valley which will also serve as the defacto championship game for the Atlantic division.

I’m betting we get Fowler/Herbstreit to call the game, with McDonough/Blackledge calling the Purdue game.

Do you expect any conference to get a nod from SECPN except the SEC or Ohio State? SECPN is biased reporting from the most biased sports reporters in the nation.

I think Herb and Fowler always call the night game on ABC. It would be pretty surprising if they did our game.

When ESPN schedules games for a time slot

Their main criteria is share, how many people watching TV can they get tovatch their programming. They have to consider what their competition is showing in the same time slot. Maybe espn wanted to win the 3:30-7:00 time slot over CBS, Fox, and NBC and they think Clemson can do that for them. Clemson is one of the biggest TV draws for ABC/ESPN and they put then in a slot to win the share and that allows them to charge more to their advertisers, it’s all about viewers.
