Interesting Stats From Last Nights NFL 1st Round Draft

This comes from Rivals: 5 Star rated players compose 1 % of each recruiting class yet 5 Star players accounted for 25 % of Thursday's 1 st round of the 2015 NFL draft.

Conversely, Washington had, what, 3 players chosen in the 1 st round and how well did they do last season?

Yes I hate when writers start with all the 2 and 3 stars that out number the 5 stars in the first round. I think it speaks volumes that if your a 5 star you have a 25% chance of being a first rounder. I don't know what it is but I assume if your a 2 or 3 star you have less than 5%.

I think the OP's stat was that 25% of the people drafted in the 1st round were 5-stars. That doesn't mean 5-stars had a 25% chance of being drafted in the 1st round.

Those numbers should be pretty close. There are 32 first round picks each year and roughly 32 5 star players each year.

The one I had heard of, Shaq Thompson went 3rd of the 3. Just goes to show there is no good reason to pay attention to McShay or Kiper.
