SMU is currently up 13-10. The game was postponed until today due to Hurricane Ian.

Just started watching. Looks like a competitive game. However, the announcers are very annoying. I turned the sound down.

I was an SMU MBA student in ‘86 when they got nailed, and the Death Penalty followed.
Their football has never recovered. Chad Morris should have stayed at SMU.
Lost our last good coach to TCU. Pony Express and Heisman days are long gone….
Tough to watch since DP, but still a fan. Great school, and traditions. Go Mustangs!
UCF killed them…..

Remember it took over 20 years for Clemson to recover from Danny Ford’s departure.
If SMU had not gotten the Death Penalty, it may have been Clemson a couple years later.
Clemson and SMU were some of the best teams in the early 1980’s, and the big schools like Texas, UNC, Georgia.. did not like it.
The NCAA wanted to make an example of some team, and SMU committed some stupid violations.
It also caused the Southwest Conference to disappear…..

Go Tigers! Whip BC! Play a complete game!

I remember the Pony Express... Craig James and Eric Dickerson were studs.

It seems like SMU is the only death penalty punishment I can ever remember being handed out.

You would think NC would have gotten the death penalty for faking classes and grades for 20 years.

Go figure....
