Pretty sure I have this regional format figured out .

The winner of game 1 plays the winner of game 2 . The two losers of 1 and 2 ( games that is ) play 1 another in game 2 on Saturday before the 2 winners play game 2 .
Then , if the loser between the winners loses against the winner of the losers they are out , just like the loser of the losers .
The 2 left on Sunday could play 2 times , or 1 time ..depending on whether or not 1 of them has any losses or just the 1 loss. If 1 has 2 losses it may only be a 1 game deal .

FYI : Should have mentioned that the " Loser of the Losers " was in reference to baseball teams in college baseball regional brackets and isn't to be confused with the University of Sackerlina ( also commonly known as the loser of the losers ) .
Sorry for the unclear distinction.
