Prayer request for a Gamecock

Not my typical thing, but please hear me out and don't make tasteless jokes.
Just found out yesterday that a friend I went to K-12 with has cancer, and it is terminal. We were not best buds by any stretch, but this was a very small school (66 in our graduating class). While I and 21 others in my class went to Clemson, he was a Gamecock, through and through. He was also a giant of a man...6'2ish, 300+ pounds, and solid as a rock. While we grew apart after graduation, we kept up through our small circle of friends, and Facebook. We jawed at each other about college sports. And last summer, we hung out at out 30th high school reunion. What a great day, catching up and swapping stories. Six weeks later, he found out he was sick, and now he is telling me that he cannot beat this. It goes against every fiber of my being, but I am going to try to pull for the Lady G's tonight. My friend deserves this. Pull for who you want to pull for tonight, but please consider a quick prayer for my friend.
Some things are more important than sports rivalries. Thank you.
