Power 5 conference payout estimates through 2029

The gap is projected to widen between two conferences and the rest of college sports through 2029, according to a Navigate report.
By 2029, the outlet estimates that SEC member schools will be paid $50 million more than ACC schools, with the Big Ten coming in at just under $40 million more and the next-best league being the Pac-12 with only $1.2 million more than the ACC.
The 2022 ACC estimate per school is $30.9 million, ranking fifth out of five Power leagues, compared to $57.2M for B1G and $54.3M for SEC.
The ACC is pegged to surpass the Pac-12 payout by 2023 and the Big 12 by 2026, with the Pac-12 surging back in front of the ACC in 2025. The SEC is predicted to top $100 million per school by 2028. More data:

How much is the ACC buyout penalty again? How long would it take Clemson to break even if the school joins the SEC?

You may want to double check my math, but by my calculations, if we kick half the teams out of the ACC, Clemson would be making more than the teams in the SEC.
When was the last time schools like Virginia, NC State or Louisville did anything worthwhile?

ACC avg payout was 32.4 from the fiscal year that ended 2020. That was the first year of ACCN. The comcast deal is just kicking in now. Yes there will be a big gap but the ACC will likely be 3rd across all those years. The B1G is in negotiations now - I expect them to stay ahead of the SeC across the board also though it will be closer than what it is now.

At those payout differentials, Clemson leaving the ACC may be required to continue to compete.
