Potential candidates for Nebraska HC.

I have several lists. They are all basically the same people. One guy writes a list, the next guy takes the same names and adds a name, the third guy takes the list and shuffles the order,.....
Caution to anybody who takes these lists seriously.
1. How many people had Lincoln Riley on the list of potential USC candidates?
2. How many people had Brian Kelly on the list of potential LSU candidates?
The lists, no matter where you read them, have the following names on them: Mark Stoops, Matt Campbell, Bill O'Brien, Jim Leonhard (DC Wisc), Dave Aranda, Dave Doeren, Gary Patterson. Some will include Urban Meyer, Jamie Chadwell, Troy Calhoun (AFA) and maybe a couple of others.
But, I think the decision has already been made. All this talk of a "national search" and talking to several people and such and stuff is AD speak. Those conversations have already taken place. Trev Alberts started his search last January if not sooner. (It was a "just in case we have to make a change" search. But, it definitely didn't start last Sunday.)
And, I think the odds are better than 50/50 the next guy will be one who is not among the list I posted above.

There won't be a coach hired until after the season so plenty of time for a bunch of suckers to be on the list.

There won't be a coach ANNOUNCED until after the season. I think the "agreement in principle" has already been made.

That's a good call. I may start a list of names that nobody thinks has a chance.
1. Hugh Freeze
2. Kliff Kingsbury
3.
Feel free to add others. But don't put people like Nick Saban or Dabo on the list. Think of "outside the box" candidates.

Matt Campbell is going to get a good job eventually. I think it's a great move for lane kiffin personally.
