The best part on these stats is that our 2 star WR out of high school is better than any WR on their team!

Tee and Justyn were both 5 stars also on different services so that would make 4 5 stars.

I remember Higgins being a 5* on all sites...look at the WR position rank that is posted...Higgins was ranked higher than Rogers..

One of my USuC alumni friends also thoroughly believes they're deeper at receiving as well. I told him the only way they're deeper at receivers would be because they're used to a Clemson pounding every year. But seriously even when you compare stars they're low end 4 stars compared to high end 4 stars and that's a big difference also.

They're OK at the WR position, probably their best position group, actually.
Deebo Samuel - when healthy - is probably their best game-breaker but he only caught 15 balls last year before a rather horrifying injury that I wouldn't wish on anybody put him on the shelf. Will he be 100% this year? I doubt it - that one looked like one of those "18 months to 2 years to get fully right, if you ever really are" type injuries.
Bryan Edwards is a decent size-speed guy who we offered...as a safety. He looks like a mid-to-late-round guy to me as a WR and caught 64 balls for 793 and 5 TD's...a good player but not really a game-breaker and he's vanished against us two straight years. OrTre Smith is somewhere between being a big slow receiver and a TE...again, where we tried to recruit him. He caught 30 balls last year but only for 326 yards (10.9 yards per touch) and 3 TD's.
Shi Smith is a pretty good quick little slot. He caught another 29 for 409 (14.1 yards per grab, which is pretty good), and another 3 TD's.
They'll miss Hayden Hurst, a lot. He caught 44 balls for 559 (12.7 yards per) as a TE and they'll have to persuade Ortre Smith he's a TE if they want to replace him with anybody who looks like an FBS guy.
No other WR or TE caught more than 7 balls for them last year, so any "depth" they have there is strictly theoretical. I didn't see anybody really stick up their hand in the Spring game.

it’s wonderful that they have great receivers

Who is going to throw it to them?
Great running backs are only as good as the guys up front? Receivers sure can’t do it alone.
