#1 recruiting class ..paid millions to players to come to A&M - should have made it clear to them they’d actually have to play/perform as well. The only seat hotter than his - Scott Frost ( losing again, this time at home vs Ga Southern). Would be surprised if he’s not fired on Monday.

I’d they fire Frost before Oct , the buyout is $15m. After Oct 1, it is $7.5M. Unlikely he will be fired Monday.
Frost was a hot commodity yet his buyout (post Oct 1) is far less than what Scar had to pay Muschamp, who no one else wanted. Tanner really is a poor steward of coot coins.

There was a graphic showing coaches for how well they did with the talent they had. It came out while Jimbo was still at FSU. Among the coaches of the top 25 teams, Dabo came out on top. Yes, he recruits well, but he also develops the talent of his players well. Saban came out in the middle, perhaps because he recruits so well. Fisher was on the bottom. During that stretch, every year FSU was right up there with 'Bama as the top recruiting class, but they never did much with it except Jameis Winston's first year. Whereas the Clemson players were out pushing themselves toward excellence in the off-season, Jimbo was trying to get his 5 star athletes to push themselves during the year, and with little success. To me, it was predictable that he would recruit well (particularly with NIL abuses), but they would underperform. I think the pattern will persist.

Frost is gone. Jimbo has no chance of losing his job right now. He bought the #1 recruiting class so they will see what he can do with it in the next few years.
