An ex wide receiver coach, now a head coach, is 2-1 against Saban in national ghampionship games. I can't name any OC or DC, now head coach, that has appeared in 3 national championship games in the last 6 years. I think only Saban and Swinney have that distinction.

Ole Defensive Saban is pretty hard to beat.
Offensive Urban Meyer was pretty good too, when he was not faking injuries.
Then you have Dabo, which was neither.
Without giving it much thought, it seems that most O.C. never live up to their expectations.
If course there is Will Cusschamp who as a great D.C. came in and destroyed a top 5 program, then came in and undid all the progress at USuC that Spurrier had made.
