I don't understand the chaos surrounding the situation. The rule is antiquated, but the rules are the rules. She knew the rules and she violated them. Really unfortunate for her but actions have consequences. If I fail a random drug test at my job I would be fired.

Really not much more to it than that, unfortunately. If you want to change the law, that's great - work to do that. But in the meantime, the law is the law and you're bound by it.

Yes, and a he/she could never have an abortion or have deal with that. Don't agree with what she did, but another example of an advantage the he/she/they's have over biological women. Soon they will allow a horse to race in these competitions' because a Horse Whisperer will say the horse believes it is a female human. The country and world are becoming so sick that the Lords coming has to be close(Like the days of Noah) !!

People just need to stop- there is a rule, she broke the rule. She admitted she broke the rule- nobody made her smoke it. People are more upset about this- then she seems to be!!!!!!!

Dexter Lawrence missed Clemson’s Playoff wins over Notre Dame and Alabama. Lawrence, offensive lineman Zach Giella, and tight end Braden Galloway tested positive for the same performance-enhancing drug, ostarine. They sat out of the games- they never admitted to taking the stuff, test were done- I don't know. The rule was broken - they paid the price.

anyone but five years for missing a drug test? I mean, that does seem excessive, right?

I'm not particularly concerned one way or the other...that just strikes me as quite the punishment for one missed drug test.

and I firmly believe this is a lesson she should be forced to learn.

As someone else said, she's a world class sprinter who was favored to win a gold medal, yet she couldn't discipline herself enough to comply with the rules that everyone else followed.
