Personally , I like to see

The Tigers expanding their recruiting areas to other states. Especially Texas. Texas is equal to Florida and Georgia in producing Div. 1 prospects every year and we seldom recruit in that area. I’m convinced that Georgia will become more difficult to recruit with the connections that Miami and Georgia and Florida State have in that State. And perhaps Usuck as well. The state of Georgia has been very kind to the Tigers in recent years but I’m not sure we can expect to get the best player every year from that state regardless of the success we have. Coach S has already expanded his recruiting area to Tennessee and Virginia and more recently, Louisiana. I like the thinking that is going into finding these top notch players. California is another hot bed but it may be to far away to become an area we can recruit easily.
When I was at Clemson, Coach Howard focused on the coal mining areas of Pennsylvania for players and it worked in many cases. We have a great product to sell so why not expand our search?

Go Tigers
.

Didn't we just sign the top player from five states?***

As I said, we have already expanded our searching area and it is a GOOD move by coach. Texas could easily supply us with two or three blue chippers every year. High school football is as big in the lone star state as anywhere in the country.

Yes, but if best really is the standard, then we should be

"IDIOT POSTER OF THE MONTH SO FAR...GWP-- You have won IPM Award for your failure to completely comprehend a clear post & then choose to attack someone who points out your ignorance. While you are not yet in the same No Class Catagory as deRoberts, ClemTiger117 & Tigerdug23, you are getting closer to the Sewer Dwellers." - coachmac

Very true. I’ll never be satisfied until we can get 50 five stars a year. The ncaa is pretty tough on that however.

I knew many of those players and some would have a tough time getting into Clemson today.

I hear those kind of players are guilty of blocking way below the knees. ;)
