Per ESPN: Confederacy still best army at Gettysburg

Metrics show on a neutral field Lee would be favored. They are so close talent wise, its not wild to entertain the notion that the CSA might be better than the USA. The power ratings have the CSA "a touch better".

They're right!

General Ewell stepped out of his own endzone then stepped back in and took a knee on day one! We could have had Cemetery Hill!

If Jackson or Pelham hadn't been on DL for gettin' targeted

Grant lost more men in six weeks following the Wilderness campaign than Lee had present in the ANV. You tell me which Army was better.

And by referring to "us"... I assume you don't mean the U.S. and you're still living back in 1860's. Get over it, Confederacy was demolished along with all of their antiquated ways. Welcome to 2016 - the Clemson Tigers you cheer for couldn't exist in the CSA. So maybe you ought to find a new "us" to refer to or get into the white supremacy football league, I hear their games are riveting with scores like 6 to 10 and what not.

Then they're old enough to learn the official name is "The War Between the States"*, or more fittingly "The War of the Yankee Invasion", "The War of Northern Aggression", or most fittingly "The War to End Yankee Arrogance" (since we're reminded constantly that we lost.)

*as it appears in a report to the Senate on joint resolution No. 41, printed in the Congressional Record of March 2, 1928, on page 4061.

Make sure you take him by Longstreet's statue... a good ole South Carolina boy. I still have the photo of my kids there from about 20 years ago.

With Military appreciation day coming up---

lets not glorify this general who was against the United States

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

he wasn't against the united states

Nov 2, 2016, 5:04 PM

he was against a select few people who chose to invade the south, in particular his home state of Virginia. if you knew history you would know that Lee was going to join the Yankees, but once he heard of their intentions to invade Virginia he switched.

1st Cavalry (General Wade Hampton's unit). In 1938 my father (his grandson) escorted him to the last reunion of the Blue and Gray where he was one of 1,845 Civil War veterans to attend. Out of the 1,845 he was one of only 65 there who had actually fought at Gettysburg.
