People >= 40 years old..do you find this to be true?

Jun 23, 2015, 10:55 AM

I don't think I do.

This was from some clickhole thing geared to college grads.

Your college years aren’t the best years of your life. Your 40s are the best years of your life: Don’t feel bad that college is over, because your best days are still ahead of you about 20 years into the future.

Re: People >= 40 years old..do you find this to be true?

Jun 23, 2015, 11:02 AM

I don't think so either. I have experienced both and the college days and the 20 something age is the best by far. At least in my opinion.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Eh. Getting laid was easier between 25 and 30

Jun 23, 2015, 11:05 AM

but I can afford to have more fun doing other things.

Depends on what the individual values most

Jun 23, 2015, 11:06 AM

My 40's will be spent watching my kids develop and go through grade school. My 20's were spent having a lot of #### fun, but for ME.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Go through grade school?

Jun 23, 2015, 11:08 AM

I'll be doing that in my 30s.

Re: Go through grade school?

Jun 23, 2015, 12:21 PM

Yep, got a late start. In the 30's we reared them. In the 40's we'll raise 'em and send em packing in the 50's, lol.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I've spent my 40s...

Jun 23, 2015, 11:06 AM

sechsing a woman in her 30s. So I agree.

Sechsing 30 something women are the best years of your life.

Old enough to garner some respect, young enough to still drink a case of beer on Saturdays.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpgringofhonor-lakebum1-110.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

they are all good, 40's was a heck of a lot easier

Jun 23, 2015, 11:11 AM

than working and going to school. Most kids don't have to work though. If you don't work and you are spending someones elses money to go to school, that would be the best ever in life.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I worked summers and after classes.

Jun 23, 2015, 11:18 AM

It wasn't that bad because i knew if I screwed up and got fired, I'd eventually get another job. There wasn;t rellay that much to lose, and teh jobs were pretty easily replaceable.

If I screw up or get fired now, there's a lot more to lose, that took a lot longer to get.

Jun 23, 2015, 11:22 AM

to a lot of people.

Seriously, I'm knocking on the door of 40, and I'm anxiously awaiting this to be proven true. To date I would say the statement is toros feces. High school was the best, college a close second, and then real life slapped me up side the head and the party was over.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpgringofhonor-tiggity-110.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I imagine Clickhole advertises everywhere.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

This is a great question...

Jun 23, 2015, 11:26 AM

College was fun, but drinking natural light and living off Ramen soup and hot dogs, never having cash, driving a beater, got old pretty quick.

I'm liking the 40s so far. Drive what I want, golf where I want, drink good beer, watch kids grow up.

2024 purple level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't live a lot different then than I do now.

Jun 23, 2015, 11:30 AM

I always had a decent car and still drink Natty Light. I watch other peoples kids grow up. I have a biger place to stay, but still only use about the same square footage.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm still alive so there's a plus, for me anyway!

Jun 23, 2015, 11:35 AM

I am almost a year into my 40s and I enjoy life more now than I did when I was younger. I guess because I have kids and enjoy spending time with them.

I also have made some very good friends on here and that wouldn't have happened when I was younger.

plus you're young enough to enjoy it. But I would imagine some people like being carefree in college more than the responsibilities you've got in your 40s.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Carefree was pretty cool.

Jun 23, 2015, 12:29 PM

No cell phones, no major bills, no worries aside from school. Classes got pretty tense at times, but I'm in my 42nd semester of work, and I'm ready to graduate.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yes, responsibilities are the worst.***

This is a tweener. I had a blast in college, but waited

Jun 23, 2015, 12:10 PM

until I was 40 to have kids. I love them but some days are a M'fer.

No kids vs. College (strange poontang)? Little girls acting like I'm the King when I get home from work. Strange Poontang. Little girls wanting to snuggle with Daddy. Strange Poontang. Little girls acting like their Mother. Strange Poontang. Little girls not listening to a d@mn word I say. Drunkfest by the lake with strange poontang.

Let me flip a coin and I will be back.
