Yes, you are right, they should definitely eat it. DJ looked awesome today.
DJ looked good I wouldn't say awesome. Still over throwing wide open receivers and making bad decisions but definitely looked better today. Nearly 200 yards rushing from Pace helped. Still a grest showing from our offense. Now onto the chickens.

I wouldn’t say DJ looked great at all. I think TE looked great today. He stuck with the offense instead of trying to form the offense around DJ. DJ made a bunch of obvious mistakes, which is a good thing if he’s the weakness of the offense. He also made a few great plays in the offense. I think you saw TE put the pressure on DJ to read a chunk of those runs instead of trying to call around his weaknesses presnap from the box. He seemed to get better at it as the game progressed. One of the biggest plays for him personally was a zone read where he pulled it, looked ugly running, and gained 12 yards. That’s what opens everything else up. The defense needs to commit a guy on the backside to keep an eye on him. It gives us an advantage on the frontside/RB side of the read.

That would be me. I have trashed this offense since the UGA game and it was deserved. However, today was an incredible turnaround for this team and I am more than happy to eat my words. What a great way for our Seniors to go out. As someone said, this is the first game of next year. Proud of these Tigers. One more game to end this fraught filled regular season.

That is exactly the opposite of what happened. It was more called read options and giving DJ the opportunity fail instead of protecting him with presnap calls from the booth on those run reads. DJ wasn’t great but got progressively better. We saw some growth there.
