will we be good enough on the OL this year to be able to smash mouth teams to keep from having to throw with KB as much as we did with DW4/TB?
I think our season might hinge more on OL play than it does QB play. If we can be dominant enough in our run game, it takes a ton of pressure off KB as a passer.
what do you bored coaches think?

Running a legit zone read will make the o line look magnificent compared to times last year
It was predetermined by whoever that DW was handing off to the RB no matter what the correct read was. Plenty of times he could have run 30+ yds if he kept it but he didn't. I expect Kelly to keep more of those and if he gets into open space look out

I think you're right. We all know KB can run it. Nobody really knows if he can win with his arm or not and we won't know unless he's put in a situation where he has to do it. (Ie. getting behind by multiple scores, being behind with the game on the line and time running out, someone that can completely take away our running game) Hopefully our OL can impose its will by lining up and knocking other teams on their butt and we won't ever be put in a situation where we have to find out.

we should be fine, but i have to admit that I'm still a bit concerned. After a strong season in 2015, i thought the line struggled for much of 2016. Pass protection was fine, but we really weren't good at running the football, particularly in short yardage situations. 2.0 ypc against Pitt, 2.2 ypc against Bama, 3.0 ypc against NC State, 3.4 ypc against Auburn, 3.5 YPC against FSU, etc. No bueno.

Even the best running offenses get stuffed on short yardage if there is not some balance - meaning an effective passing game.
Smash mouth football is a myth against the best defenses.
