Our Clemson University

That we all hold so close to our hearts is really a lot better than many think. To an outsider looking in they perhaps view Clemson as a small agricultural school in rural South Carolina far below the average of “great universities” in other parts of America. How wrong can that be? Although still small by some standards Clemson is rapidly becoming a leader in higher education.

At the end of the last fiscal year Clemson raised just under 211,000,000.00 dollars. Pretty good for a “cow college”. Those monies created 139 new scholarships and 129 new endowments. Keep in mind that Clemson is still relatively small, especially in numbers of alumni.

When you add in the 72 million dollars that IPTAY raised that created 500 more scholarships That is an amazing number also. Especially when you consider that only 17 per cent of the alumni support the Athletic Department.
That is a number that should rise because the Tigers have a tremendous fans base that supports athletics like no other.

It’s all about leadership. At that, Clemson is at the top.

Do your part. Let’s keep these numbers growing.

The view at the top of the mountain is great and we need to stay there.

Great University, nice to see the endowments and support develop so strong over the past years.

It will be key in Clemson continuing to grow and be Clemson to more people

First, why do you assume that many of us don't know how good Clemson is? Not sure where you get that we are viewed as " a smalll agricultural school in rural South Carolina far below the average of great universities in other parts of America ". And really don't understand perpetuating the term "cow college". Not heard that in years. Stop with the woe is me. Next thing you're calling us lil ole Clemson. Nothing lil and nothing to not great about my Clemson!
