I’d suggest driving a big rig for a few years, then enjoy college with $500k in your pocket. There is a huge shortage and you can get the wanderlust out of your system on someone else’s dime. If 30 is the new 20, I’d rather approach it fully funded, but that’s just me.
You shouldn’t look down on blue collar people, they make your world work.

.... late 60s - early 70s. (Lew Alcindor era.)

Wooden recruited the best players in the country, year after year. How he did it is not the purpose of this post. He did it. He had athletes that weren't just better than everybody else. They were A LOT better.

OU softball is the same way now. They are able to get the players who are A LOT better than everyone else.

Another analogy is the UConn women's basketball team from just a few years ago.
