What model waverunner do you have ? how do you like it ? has it served you well ? In hindsight , do you wish you had purchased another model ? what will you next model be in light of your experience with your current model and why ? thanks....lennon=mccartney

Have a rebuilt Yamaha 2011 VX 1100? 3-seater...

and took it out for 6 hours around Charleston harbor this past Saturday, by Flat-Top Ship, down to Shem Creek, then up ICW on inner side of Sullivan’s & Isle of Palms Islands..then out the inlet to ocean, down South on ocean side of these islands, over the crowded & wavy channel to Fort Sumter, down to City Marina, back to downtown Battery area, by all the various businesses on the waterfront & back under the beautiful brige.

Ran from 1-45+ mph in 6”-5’ waves & ran like a rabbit! Main thing is: I made it back to landing, with gas to spare!

that is why I think I need one of the heavier models, because I figure I can take it out more on big lake water or around Charleston creeks, rivers, and cross the harbor without beating me to death , since I am an upper fifty something year old man, ..lol

I am looking at the vx deluxe, it looks to be yamaha's most popular model. But I also like vx cruiser ho , and I also like the fx cruiser ho. Are you familiar with those ? I am an older guy , upper fifties, I feel like a little heavier model might be easier on my low back ….now , I havent test driven these models yet either, just going by the weigh listed and the visuals...

L-McC..heavy is the answer for bad backs!

Age 77 here & have had herniated disc since age 35 plus broke back in 2016.

My unit is only a VX Sport but plenty heavy & gets up to 50 mph on smooth water.

After Saturday’s 6 hour ride (no real undercarriage shocks) I’m now Thinking about putting on a pair of my bike cyclist shammy riding shorts that have jell pockets so to protect your buttocks & under carriage. Can order online a 3 hour thickness quality for about $55.

My 2011 Yamaha CX Sport came from a great mechanic in HHI who does nothing but refurbishing & selling jet boats and keeps a dozen or more for sale.

Give me a Tmail & I’ll give you his name & info.
