Oscar Delp visiting tomorrow

Sep 10, 2021, 9:41 PM

Confirmed with 2022 4-star TE Oscar Delp earlier today that he will be at Clemson tomorrow for a visit. Delp was in attendance last week for the Clemson-Georgia game, and getting him on campus is a good sign for the Tigers.

Georgia still looks to be the leader at this point, but getting Delp on campus can only help Clemson’s chances.

You think we really have a shot with him? I’d love to have him but from insiders he’s narrowed it down to the coots and UGA. He’s been rotating coot and UGA gloves during his HS football games. If he is seriously considering the coots, do we really want him anyways?

They've convinced him that they utilize the tight ends, all he had to do was watch how we used the tight ends last Saturday and we fell to 3rd place fast.

I think UGA is clearly the favorite. Getting him back on campus is a big deal for Clemson though, especially this close to his decision. I don’t think he would make this trip tomorrow if Clemson was out of it, especially since he was at the Clemson-UGA game last week.

Delp and Cade Klubnik are good friends from their time at The Opening and from hanging out at the Elite Retreat. Winning is big for Delp, and he’s said multiple times that he wants to go somewhere that he can win a national championship.

UGA will be tough to beat out, and again they are clearly the favorite, but I think there is still a shot.
