Orange Bowl opponent deal final. And the phrase

Power 5 conferences is used. In another article, Barnhardt says the ACC's deal with Notre Dame makes certain the ACC's seat at the big boy table. It is nice not to have to worry about conference defections and the ACC's role in the new post-2014 scenario. The OB opponent should be highly ranked each year and a full stadium. Last year South Carolina would have lost the spot due to rematch.

Now I want to know how the money will be split for the ACC. We should be taking 60-75% due to us owning the TV rights and only paying a 3rd place team/ND.

I want some of what you've been drinking. While the other 4 conferences are playing conference champions we are left to play their 3rd or4th best team or ND. Doesn't sound like much big boy table sitting to me. It could be worse but not even close to an equal comparison.

that group. Someone on another site went back and for the last 7 years that would have abeen teams ranked anywhere from 5th to 11th.

The conference champions will likely be playing in the 4 team playoff.

The matchups don't really matter this move is all about the money. Honestly playing a lower ranked team will help the ACC's perception. Also the ACC should even the money gap by taking a larger share of revenue from the game.
