New BIG 10 deal ,leaving ESPN,adding NBC

What will this mean ? Is ND still just as important to NBC will all the $$$$ they're demanding ?
After low balling the PAC 12 and almost forcing USC/UCLA to to jump, did this new deal suddenly make the ACC more important to ESPNDisney ? Surely they envision losing the BIG 10 ?

But I'd rather see a move to the B1G just because of Nationwide aspect of it.

Maybe, but I have zero desire to roll up to Minnesota for a November night game. You know what I mean? Count me as much more pro-SEC than B1G.

I certainly hope so. Add in UVA and GT and that would be a dream scenario. I know it waters down the conference, but I think of those schools join, they could quickly improve. Hopefully the B1G envisions what could be in 10-15 years. The B1G needs recruiting territories and adding all those schools would keeps thing more traditional with rivalries. I would love to see a west coast zone. Midwest/east coast, and South East zone.

The inclusion of NBC could mean that ND is baked into the deal and will be joining the B10

Playing is the cold, wind and possibly snow up north is completely different then playing in the sunshine, between 60 and 100 degrees, and possibly facing wind and rain. Teams down south rarely play a full game in the rain because of lighting "in the area". I think it was a fluke that Ohio state won in 2014. Since the BCS era (1998) the only BIG 10 team to win a national championship is Ohio State in 2002 and 2014.
At least with this new TV deal and new teams the conference schools will get paid... even if they can't win an NCAA championship.

ESPN would definitely have more money to spend on the ACC. I know football is driving all this but it’s not an all year long sport. Losing BIG basketball has to hurt ESPN too.
