Only 4 football commits thus far

Because kids have not had the chance to visit schools for a year. Dabo has always encouraged players to take their time and be All In when they do commit to Clemson. I think players are taking all their visits before committing this year due to COVID.

Hilarious. I saw him wrestle in Spartanburg back in the 80s. They worked his face and it was all bloodied up outside the ring! ?? WOOO!!

The fact many seniors have come back for another season is hurting how many scolly’s they have to give out. When these young recruits realize this they’re might be a mad rush to commit before it’s all over.

I’m glad Dabo has the foresight to understand this & he’s sticking to his guns to find the right Clemson Champions!

He’s setting up for next season plus we will have more than usual walk-one too!

He also has a very high number of 4* and 5* players to chose from so he has to be careful who he offers. Good situation to be in.

I thought the waiver rule was that the players opting for the additional year did not count against the scholarship numbers?

You are corrrect. Theoretically, every player in every class got a free year last season (Not just seniors). The “85 rule” is a moot point this year. There is some uncertainty regarding the seasons after this.
I imagine the only possible concern this year would possibly be the athletic departmental budget to cover the scholarships (doubtful it is problematic for schools such as Clemson).
