and two of them are bad. That means for every pass you attempt, you only have a 33% chance of something good happening. I am not a mathematician by trade, but I have a firm grasp on most of the sciences, including statistics, so understand the implications. I hope this information finds it's way to the coaching staff and they understand as well.

When you consider those facts, you realize a really good punting team with really fast outside players who can strip and tackle and an Australian punter could get into the red zone every time. Then, an option run or up the middle for six.
People underestimate what a good punting team can do to advance the ball on any given drive. It makes me laugh.

In 2021, Clemson attempted the forward pass 414 times. 228 (55%) were completions. 175 (42%) were incompletions resulting in loss of down. 11 (3%) were interceptions resulting in change of possession.
So, only about half of the time was passing a bad thing and only 3% of the time were we screaming for a QB change mid-game.

it occurs to me that, conversely, running the football may be statistically less risky than throwing, which is why UGA has now finally had some success. That or the fact that they haven’t had a descent QB since Matthew Stafford.

defensive pass interference is another possible outcome so that's not true
I don't have the stats, but I'd be willing to be the defensive PI's outnumber the offensive PI's 100-1 at least
so you can discount the OPI and say
4 things can happen and 2 of them are good and two of them are bad

The QB could run off the field with the ball and head to the locker room, which would either be a TD or safety depending on which way the offense was going.

and the elderly. I spoke with Brandon Streeter in Private chat along with several other Platinum level members. He mentioned 6 more good things that can happen when you throw the ball, so it is more like a 75% chance.
