People who say "its not about the money" really have no idea the difference between 2 million a year and an 8 million dollar contract vs a 5+ million dollar a year 30+ million dollar contract with a huge buyout.

a lifetime of regret for BV is he bites on this just for the money.
Money cannot buy happiness and job satisfaction.
He has said many times that he enjoys “coaching” and he can absolutely kiss that goodbye if he goes for the money in Norman.
He should look to Clemson for some long contractual commitment as security, but if he loves coaching, he would be a fool to jump to the HC job just for the $$$.

You are right. I, for one, just cannot imagine being paid that kind of money. I would guess most people posting on here are the same. We won’t ever know the difference between those numbers because we live our lives on a small fraction of the lower number. That being said I don’t know how anyone couldn’t be comfortable with the $2 MM a year number.

BV making 2 million here and Oklahoma's contract with Riley was six-year $45.2 million. BV would be stupid not to go.

And when you don’t perform up to expectations because you’re only in it for the money, you’ll be fired and then you can take the pay out and go back to what you’re best at.

Stupid is doing anything just for the money. BV has said several times he has the best job and boss in the country and doesn’t want the other stuff that comes with being a head coach. I’m going with that till he says something different.
