They had a good coaching staff in place, then they fired them, ant the rest of the assistant coaches quit.
Like a Neutron Bomb, killed the people, and left the building and stadium standing.
That path almost never works!
Usually takes 5 years or more to recover……. Sad to see!

Not sure, think the coach has lost control. They have lost about 18 to the transfer portal and 4 or 5 assistant coaches have left.

in the history of collegiate athletics.
Dating back to the late 50's, the school has been assessed upwards of ten major NCAA infractions most of which involved boosters cars, trips, and cash for players, recruits, and the parents of players and recruits. A few of these occurred while Auburn was already on probation for cheating. A couple more involved coaches (Pat Dye and Cliff Ellis), assistant coaches, and agents. I won't even get into the whole Scam Newton swindle.

Your “This is Auburn Football” overview could also read “This is the SEC”. Word is if you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying in that league, and Auburn has been trying very hard...up until Harsin.
Harsin reportedly threw down the fist and told his assistants they would NOT cheat to win. He felt they didn’t need to at Auburn. One lackluster season and recruiting class later and Yella Fella and others are ready for a change. So a change it will be. This drama has nothing to do with boinking cheerleaders or being mean to players. Not saying that stuff is or isn’t true, This is all circus stuff that comes your way when the very powerful good ol boys mean to have you gone at all costs. Deshaun’s situation is not that different. Only there it’s you bucked us and we are going to put you in your place before we put you out.

Ask your buddy if any of the following story is close to be true...
I have a good friend that is a college football coach and through his close connections claim that Bobo wanted out of Auburn to go back to UGA so he went to Harsin and claimed he couldn't install and run the offense Harsin wanted. Supposedly Harsin said tough that's what I want so Bobo refused and was fired for insubordination. Basically Bobo goes in and gets the HC to fire him and now he can not only go to UGA but still get paid more than a million dollars from Auburn for the next 3 years!
If that's close to being true that's hilarious!

historically, only a very select group of individuals have a voice and it wasn't the AD or the President. It was largely a few influential boosters like Timothy Cook, Jim Wales, Joe Forehand, Ray Harbert, Bobby Lowder, Kay Ivey, Fob James, and Jimmy Rane. Bobby Lowder and Jimmy Rane were absolutely the ring leaders.
