One more question about “OU”:

1

Jan 7, 2022, 6:58 AM

Has anyone else noticed they call it “University of Oklahoma” when they say the whole thing, but then they call it OU?
Wouldn’t it be UO?
Noticed it in Brent’s press conference.
Is there a reason for this, or are they just dumb?

Just curious.

Kansas does it too, they are the university of Kansas but are also KU. Must be a Midwestern thing?

Indiana and Colorado are others. But in all of the examples I hear them called both ways. Probably a lot easier for state schools as opposed to the Clemson’s, Auburns, and Baylor last of the world.

Calling them dumb is an understatement

A Sooner has to drop his trousers to count to 21.

I’ve seen a lot of recruits reference or commit to The University of Clemson?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That’s a 17-year-old kid. Not the university President.***
