Dabo to NFL?!?

Obviously it won't be this year, but I'm starting to hear rumblings......how long before they come calling? And would it be a good fit?
I don't think he would leave, even for Bama, but I guess there is always a possibility......

He doesn't fit in with the NFL personality. I never see him leaving as long as Bama doesn't call

I don't think he leaves for Bama. Not to follow Saban anyways. Maybe after someone else has gone in and flopped. Never easy to follow a legend.

That's like asking if Bobby Bowden would have been a good NFL coach. Like Spurrier and Saban, Dabo would be a horrible NFL coach

Personality and approach is entirely the opposite of what it takes to win in the NFL. Works perfectly for college but you don't do a ton of recruiting at the next level. Managing that many giant egos wouldn't necessarily be his thing if they aren't buying in from the time they commit.

Where are you hearing the "rumblings" exactly? On George Rogers Blvb? 5 points? I would like to know where you are hearing this so that I can also be in the know. Such intriguing information, thank you for sharing.

I think the NFL has about learned its lesson about hiring college coaches with little NFL experience. USUC's last two coaches had illustrious careers in the NFL.

Dabo is NOT an NFL coach, and he knows it. I hear all this talk about Dabo and Alabama, but has anyone ever considered, or regarded, or otherwise allowed him-her-self to admit, or even imagine the fact that CLEMSON is Dabo's "Alabama"? I don't believe he's going anywhere, ever. He has his own legacy to create and he's pursuing it with an old school passion in a time when money and media dictates success. Dabo is the real deal, in the old fashioned sense, and he has something to do with Clemson University, regardless of "opportunity".

I agree that Clemson is Dabo's Alabama but what happens if Dabo makes the playoffs several times and wins it all once again ? What happens when the crazy money offers start coming from another big program ???

How many times have we heard Dabo say "bloom where you're planted"? I think that pretty much answers the NFL question. He ain't going anywhere in the near future. Let's try to enjoy what we have going on at Clemson right now and quit listening to that crap coming out five points.

I think the only thing we're going to have to worry about is Brent Venables going to the NFL in a few years. We'll also likely be looking at Scott, Elliott, or both getting offers to be head coaches somewhere not too far in the future.

Chip Kelly says hello. Though, I'll grant he's been the exception so far, rather than the rule.

to come off as a slam on Dabo, but the NFL would greatly diminish his strengths and highlight his weaknesses.
Dabo is a great recruiter (of both players and coaches i think), a great motivator, a great teacher of young men, and someone that has really shown the ability to run a program. I think he also does a good job of getting HIS kind of guys into the program. Sure we've had a few bad apples, most of them recent, but overall he has a fantastic track record of players that graduate and don't get into trouble.
What is Dabo not? He's not a great Xs and Os guy. His personality and boyish enthusiasm is also something that might not go over nearly as well with a locker room of NFL guys.
I think Dabo moving to the NFL would be terrible for all parties involved.
