I never heard of on3 until this year so I am not that familiar with them nor their rankings?? sorry.

I agree. ESPN and 24/7 are all over the place and seldom agree on anything or anyone.

It is competing with 247 and rivals. Schools have their own websites and there are universal sites, covering all schools.
Part of the info is free, and part is behind a paywall.
I won't give you a link because it is in direct competition with tigernet (at least to some degree). But, with little effort, it is easy to find.

NIL is going to make recruiting services more lucrative than ever to recruits which means recruits and their agents will have lots of reason to financially incentivize rating services. Expect to see a lot of new business in this space over the next few years. I’d stick with Rivals and 247.

Based on their rating of Peter Woods, I would say not very accurate. Someone on here said a few days ago that it is run by gamecock.

I think in the end, people will all agree NIL is the dumpster fire that was well meant. But it got screwed up almost from the beginning.

The coot website associated with on3 is run by a coot, but the national on3 is not run by any one or two schools.

Thanks. Imo, I like it. The only downside is that most of the good content is behind the pay wall as you already explained. I was reading something on it last summer and it was talking about their algorithms and content is more advanced. The one thing I like is the recruit analysts who actually break down the recruit strengths and weaknesses. Talk about the measurable stuff the pros use. Some even give the 40 speed, the shuffle speed etc.
Personally, I think the 247 composite is the best and should be used when referring to recruiting ranks. But it still comes down to the coaches opinion. As Dabo always says to his staff, you better be right when you offer.

You know, you could do an ounce of research? Just because someone doesn't think every Clemson recruit is the best thing since sliced bread doesn't mean they're a Gamecock. The CEO and founder of On3 is Shannon Terry. That's the same guy that created Rivals and 247. He played basketball for Lipscomb before becoming a businessman. I've seen no evidence suggesting he has any ties to the Gamecocks.

I don't care about a recruit's ranking. More interested in what they do on the field. Shucks! Just win more than 12 games a year is a major accomplishment. Keep up the good work.
