I know its tough on QBs when coaches say they took a sack, when everyone knows a sack in practice and a sack in a game are totally dif. More than likely a sack in practice is an escaped sack in a real game, but it is what it is. As long as the competition is making each player better it should pay off in the long run. Hopefully everyone is healthy and ready to go for the opener, with the exception of XT, no need to bring him back at all until the Wake game maybe.

Anybody believe DJ will be good enough to move on to the NFL after this season?
Is that what Dabo is saying or is he just keeping the QB’s interested?
He said Uiagalelei is the starter "for sure" but still has to go out and play well. "Just like anybody else, you have to go play well. And we certainly hope to get Cade as many opportunities as we can. That is something we need to do, just like we wanted to get DJ in as often as we could in Trevor's last year. DJ is going to graduate in December, and he has big goals and aspirations and he knows what he needs to do and has to go do it. But DJ is the starter. He has earned that, and it's up to him to continue to earn it every week."

Interesting. If you go back to 2017 and 2018 and read the fall camp interviews with Dabo and substitute KB's name with DJ's, it's almost verbatim. Great news that he's making the correct reads... And making plays with his feet.
Certainly hope DJ shows out enough to get a high draft grade. If he does, in all likelihood we'll win another national championship. Definitely will pull for him and support him. KB had those goals too, but we have been spoiled to have two 1st round NFL QB's in the last decade. Tajh was a really good QB and to answer your question, I think DJ can be good QB.
