OL - I’m just not sure what to think

I’m a firm believer that OLs need reps together to gel. Last year showed us the opposite of that (especially early in the season), so seeing a consistent lineup this year has proven they can get better together.

Last night was just hard for me to believe that throughout the entire game. A few times they just didn’t seem to be on the same page. Was BC doing some exotic scheming, or complex disguises?

Mistakes on film make great coaching opportunities, so I feel good we will continue to improve.

Am I off base here?

At times when we lined up and went right at there defense with the run we were successful. If we try and run outside, there is not much success.

WR blocking has been horrible.

The outside runs and screens that were blown up require the WR to block.

I'd honestly say some of those guys need to sit until they start putting in some effort on plays where they aren't getting the ball.

See the problem is that some weeks if not every week the other team which also has scholarship players decides to show up and they actually play!
One thing I have taken from Dabo , when others say it’s just coach speak is, “ it’s hard to win”. But honestly Clemson won by 27 points! I will take that all day every day!!

The o line has been fantastic on pass protection, but run blocking has been sub par by everyone except Allen when he is lined up at receiver.

Our entire offense needs to improve in run blocking as we move forward. If we continue to live by the pass alone, eventually we will have an off night.

Wide outs where terrible on edge blocking and McFadden actually had a bad couple of quarters .

We just seem to try to keep the defenders engaged instead of trying to drive them backward.
