One away (TCU) and one at home (K State) and beat WVU in Morgantown.
Not much of a difference from us (FSU, UGA, and U of L), except for our injuries, preseason ranking, and the fact that our two loses were on the road, early in the season, before we played our young players and the fact that our league is not media darlings.
It use to be said that losing early and improving was taken into consideration.
And yes, I get that under extreme adversity we have not blown people out, but let's be real here, we have arguably the best D in the nation, a much improved FG kicker (noted nationally, just last week) and the top young QB returning, if needed this week, as stated by many in the media.
It doesn't take a brainic to know these things, which should be mentioned and merited with a ranking in the mid to high teens.
I see us jumping significantly if we win convincingly at wake and then beat gt in Atlanta. Maybe to as high as 14 or so. Then win vs usce and watch the championship game carnage and we could wind up 11-13 or so, which is primed for a top 10 finish with a bowl victory. Our prob was we did not get a lot of preseason hype nor did we win either of our major games early. We made it too easy to write us off.
