My personal favorite clemson football players from my era of being a tiger fan.
1. CJ Spiller
2. Sammy Watkins
3. Deshaun Watson
4. Tajh Boyd
5. Gaines Adams
Like i said this is from my era of watching my tigers play. I'm not saying anyone is better than anyone else. I'm just saying personally these tigers have meant the most to me as my 20 years as a fan. What's yours?

I'm fond of James Davis, I believe he came back for his senior year and it may have cost him. I'm not knowledgeable in this, but that's my memory.
Thunder and lightning, hard to beat the excitement they brought!

My first game I went to was the all purple game with thunder and lighting vs Georgia tech. Game day was there and I'll never forget!

Favorites:
Steve Fuller, because he was the first Tiger I remember. I was Steve Fuller in the back yard.
Homer Jordan, because he led us to glory.
Terrance Flagler, because when I moved to FL in '79, kids were like, "Who's Clemson?" TF signed in '82, which carried more clout with the locals than actually winning in '81. He was a local idol.
CJ Spiller, because he opened the floodgates.
Deshaun Watson, because he's special in so many ways.
If I thought about it more I might change, but over the decades these stand out above the rest. Moved to

Again, not best but memorable for different reasons.
1. James Davis because my son has the same name. As a little tyke at the game, he'd here touchdown James Davis #1. My son would shout, that's me!
2. Emory Smith for stumbling, bumbling, rumbling all the way to the end zone for a touchdown with half the coot team on his back.
3. Charlie Whitehurst. Took him about 10 minutes but he ran for that long first down to kill the coots.
4. Michael dean Perry - loved to watch him play d.
5. Raymond priester - the human bowling ball. Not the fastest but one of the best ever at yards after contact.

...as ALL Clemson Tigers are on equal footing on my list and have contributed towards what makes Clemson University, a supreme institution of higher learning, a place we can all be proud of.
Congrats to all the people of Clemson University who represent us well from all walks of life to include those who did not attend or graduate from THE University but make contributions anyway.

3. Sammy (best player to ever don the uniform in my opinion - yes, I'm including #4)
