But the etymology (ya like that? I'm using words gamecocks don't understand) ... where does it come from? Is it an acronym? If it's not, why THAT particular word?

Been wondering this myself... I'm guessing it's when one individual creates multiple profiles and makes it appear multiple people are having an online conversation when its really just the same person. How the word "scok" is derived from this, I don't know.
