Clemson offense needs to learn to finish, but there were scrimmage standouts

DLine will own every Oline in college football this season. Going to be hard to judge them right now.

As fans, we mustn't take a word being said by the coaches with even a grain of salt bc, every word coming from them to the media right now, it is the same words being said to the players for the purpose of encouraging the players to pay attention to the small details, the little things that must be done before the whole picture will come into focus for them. The little things is what sets up the plays, and allows them to work from start to finish, and by passing the little things (details) is why they will fail 90% of the time!!!

Offensive line will still be a weakness

I know we have a strong D-line but a good Oline would be able to compete and have some days where they win. What I'm getting from this group is we will have some success against lesser teams running the ball, but will struggle against the Georgia, Alabama, Ohio state's of the world because our offensive line is undersized and full of 3 stars who have overplayed their expectations, but are still all 3 stars. Bockhorst gets all this praise from coach swinney but if you cut on the tape he gets OWNED on the regular. He should never be your best Olineman on a championship quality team

Dude shut your pie hole! Our OL recruiting has jumped up a ton and most our guys are 4* and ranked top150. Several guys are #1 OL in their state, Lithicum (sp) was #1 center recruit. We have had at least one 5* OL on our team every year for last 8yrs.

Hopefully you realize there are very few 4-5* OL recruits each year. Typically 1-3 are 5*, then 10-12 are 4* total. Very hard to get a 4* OL player. Quick glance and I think we have 15 schollie OL, 3 are 3*, 1 is 2-3*, rest are 4* with one 5*. So I wouldn't say we are full of 3* OL

Keep reading this to yourself, coot. It’s the only thing that’s gonna make you feel better.

Even by this list 3 of our proposed starters are outside the top 250 and the other one is will Putman (arguably the weakest link on the line) and a redshirt freshman who should be pretty good but is still really young. As we go through the next few years I think you're lying to yourself if you don't believe we'll be looking back at this year when we've got so much potential for the future as the year we had a bad oline.
