boycotting athletic events in SC? Isn't that the ONLY reason they have given to prevent post season events being held in SC? If I'm wrong - please feel free to correct me.

they have not taken on the mantle of state owned building names and i doubt if they would, it would only expose the hypocrisy, but... stranger things have happened... like, who would have thought that a white supremecist would go to a bible study at a black church, sit with the group for an hour, and then shoot up the place killing nine people... whouda thunk it????

Calhoun's name on it, and taking down all statues of him.
I saw one article where the writer wanted to take down all statues of anyone who owned a slave, including Moultrie, Jefferson, Washington, et al.
Every city in SC has a street named after Calhoun, the Emanuel AME church is located on Calhoun St. I guess the PC cleaning crew will be in Clemson next trying to remove all traces of his past.
To answer your question, it will never stop until people begin to realize that you can remember your past without repeating it...

if the flag comes down, the boycott goes away... or so the original narrative went. it should happen that way though, it's not like they want to be called hypocrites and liars...

I have called them that and more. Racist is one!!! When has anybody ever heard of the NAACP stand up for poor white people that are wronged and had their rights violate. How many times have we ever heard of them standing for whites that were killed by blacks or unjustly killed by cops???????????

Any events any where.
The acc used the boycott as a reason to not host tournaments in sc.

^^^So in effect, if the NAACP stops the boycott, does swofford still have any reason not to allow us to host events in SC?
Good grief, I hope this gets swofford thrown out of office. Are we still allowed to tar-and-feather him before sending him out of town on a rail?

advantage in postseason play ie: like when the baseball tournament was held in Greenville and the other teams complained Clemson had an unfair advantage due to the fan support. Even though other programs have complained the North Carolina teams have a unfair advantage when it comes to basketball the ACC and Swoffie seem to not mind that...

If they are serious about helping blacks in SC, they should tackle the problem of gangs and the killings of black on black. The message of love needs to get to that level. Then there will be real progress.

No. They will find some other "good" reason to be prejudiced and judgmental. It's how they generate donations and keep the pot stirred.

Once the flag is removed, I would expect all boycotts (NAACP, ACC, NCAA) to be ended. The flag was the stated reason for these boycotts.

Good luck with that. Not saying the flag shouldn't be down, but that will not end anything. The same ones who want the flag down so badly are glad it's a cause that will garner them support and donations. They will find another cause to stir followers into giving them money. It's all they are about. The "causes" are just a means to an end, and their end cause is mostly about making money off people.
