...the vast majority of which were non-contributors. By star rating, we have ten 3-stars and one 4-star in the portal.
By comparison - Ohio State has 10 in the portal. Five 3-stars, three 4-stars, and one 5-star (one unranked).
Our guys are leaving for playing time.

Really shows that maybe "it was time for some of these players to move on"!
You hate it; because you have invested time/energy/care into them! But, if it's better for them and ultimately better for Clemson - "you just have to wish them well and move on, right"?

Not as upset about J Lay as I have been about some of the recruits we have been losing. He never fulfilled the promise of his potential. Something about Tarzan and Jane, but he seemed to dislike blocking and wasn't able to continue his HS receiving success. I thought he might be a great H-back if he liked blocking better.

Lay didn’t contribute so moving on is best for him , Jeffries name showed up in portal two days ago.

Hate it about Jefferies!
Didn't he struggle with Diabetes he didn't know he had until being on campus?
The staff was patient. The staff didn't "not renew his scholarship" as a result. They worked with him and showed a ton of patience.
And, "it's still all good"!
I wish him nothing but the best. Somewhere else would give him a chance to actually play college football and not just watch it(from the bench). Hope he goes somewhere and makes an impact.

There are some teams with over 20 players in the transfol portal so what is your point? This is the new normal going forward

Dabo I’m sure is disappointed in those transferring and most will end up in less than power 5 conferences. At the same time, if they can play for Furman or Wofford they will enjoy being a starter. Dabo is going to have to know from now on this is going to be the way it is and with injuries he is going to have to find a way to manage the roster.

If they are doing their school work and their best on the field he will tolerate them. Imo, the portal just made it easier to cull through the mess without looking like the bad guy.

T. Johnson graduated in 3 1/2 years and is leaving for a job in law enforcement I believe.
They didn't pan out as players, they appear to have as men
