Notre Dame coach

I never really listened to him before. No reason to until today. I wanted to hear his thoughts on the game.

He is a very well spoken coach. Really says all the right things. Response to questions well. Gives great answers.

Still hate Notre Dame and pulling for 100 to nothing shut out that looks worse than it is. But I understand how this coach got the Notre Dame job

I feel the same way. He has the charisma to get the job done.

For me its usually not the players or the coaches (except for Dave Dorean) that make me dislike a team. Its usually the fans. Such is the case with Notre Dame, the fans are so pompous and arrogant I can't help myself. Nothing against the coach or players but I agree with you, I hope we beat them 100 to nothing.

Totally disagree on their fans. We were there in 1978 and they were the best fans we’ve ever been around. Even after we beat them , they were great. About to find out what the 2022 version is like. Bus from Chicago leaves at 11 AM.

That’s because the whole world was different in 1978.

Plus there was no social media, internet, or etc then. All you had to go off of were the face to face ppl you met. You likely met the few that were decent ppl. However, most ND fans are like Gamecock fans…..

I was there is 78 as well and the ones I met were about as rude and arrogant as any fan base I can remember. I was in the band so maybe they didn't like the band. But i really wasn't thinking about the fans at the game when I made my comment. I was thinking about the ones you meet on a day to day basis. I have friends that I love that are arrogant ND fans and I don't really like them on game day. LOL

We played there in 1979 and their fans were nice because they wanted Dan Devine gone and us winning moved that along. I was there and at the 1977 game in Clemson

My dislike of ND goes all the way back to the 70s. We spent all day yesterday on campus and met some very nice ND fans who actually invited us to walk the campus with them so we got a “guided” tour from an alumni. Retired Army Commander and his wife. Great couple. Everyone we met yesterday was gracious and hospitable. Even in the Irish pub after the alcohol started flowing.
I have noticed this. With some of these fan bases, it seems like the season ticket holding fans at their home location are usually much more likeable fans than the ones you run into all over the country and at playoff games. Same seems to go for Ocry0 St fans. My son attended Penn State and went to a PSU/Ocry0 St game in Columbus when he was a student and he said they were treated great by the home team fans. We have attended all of the playoff games vs Ocry0 St except 2020 and their fans at the playoff games have been the absolute worst. Don’t know why this is but it seems to happen that way.

Some of their fans are really arrogant, but I have so many good friends from across the country who happen to be rabid Notre Dame fans. They are a great win or lose. They understand that there is a lot of schadenfreude with ND and for whatever reason many of us take pleasure in seeing Notre Dame get beaten on a given Saturday rather than seeing them win, even when we have nothing riding on the game.

Everyone has been extremely pleasant to us thus far. I always pull against ND too, but I had the same experience in Dallas before and after our beat down of them.

I have no quarrel with ND fans.

Listening to him speak and describe the culture he wants for his football team and his admiration of Clemson, it’s not a mystery how they have managed to rally from three straight losses (bowl game last year and the first two games this year) to win five of their last six.
Look forward to tuning in after the game to hear and explain how they lost by six scores.
