Notice how the narrative changes

Jan 10, 2022, 1:23 PM

Have you noticed over the past 6 years that when a team got curb stomped like Michigan and cincy did the talking heads said they did not belong in the playoffs. Notice for the most part this was missed with those two...media bias...you bet...we were kept below trash like tamu, auburn, etc...Georgia was gutted by Bama without a whimper. Does however accent the value of a performing qb.

The big difference this season is that there weren't enough playoff worthy teams to create any argument.

There was no "this team edged out this team for the final spot".

Everyone in contention eliminated themselves except for the 4 teams that got in.

Cincinnati was the Belle of the ball...

and the committee worked almost as hard to get them in as they did to get two $EC teams in.

At the end of the day and season - the best two teams in CFB are playing tonight. We had our chance at Georgia and blew it.

Losing to UGa is not what kept Clemson out of the CFP...

Jan 10, 2022, 1:54 PM

It was the losses to NC State and Pitt.

The inability to pass the ball (pass and catch) the ball downfield resulted in all three loses and the Cheeze-It.

With the way we looked on offense, even had we eked out

wins over Nancy's Tait and Pitt, I am not convinced we would have gotten in this year with just the Georgia loss. The pundits would have "Eye Tested" us to death on a daily basis. And, they would have been right to do so.

Getting roasted in the semis by a good offensive team, A THIRD CONSECUTIVE SUCH ROASTING FOR OUR LAST GAME, would not have felt much better than 10-3 to me, to be honest.

Like it or not, those two SEC teams are the best two teams in the country. I can’t name another team that should replace either.

Agree. It seemed to be a weirdly "down" year for college

football. At least as far as "The Usual Suspects" were concerned, us included. Bama the only constant.

One of the most pointless and unproductive threads I’ve seen in a long time.

Wake me up when spring practice starts.

If you really think so then look at the final polls....we got no respect cause we had no QB...couldn't stretch the field and looked like an anemic old poster most of the season! If you don't think Clemson has to do it better why didn't we finish in the top 10...Natty winners couldn't score a single offensive touchdown against us...bad pass by a bad QB ended in a pick 6 was the only touchdown...still no respect! Dabo will have to work hard to guard against this in the coming seasons...Marxist media does not like Clemson so we have to do it that much better! Forget how many stars and get good hard playing talented players and develop them and lets have no other posts about your 'mother'!
