TNET: Wolfpack and Tigers in a Battle for top North Carolina defender

Wolfpack and Tigers in a Battle for top North Carolina defender

Clemson versus NC State football games always hard-fought and seemingly down to the wire. The two schools are in a similar battle for one of the Tar Heel state’s best defensive backs. Full Story »

No disrespect to him or to Wolfies..BUT

between these two teams, where they are today in talent, the coaching staff, the facilities, the fan base, the national TV exposure, the top tier bowl opportunities, where they will take you in wins, championships & hopefully a Natty..

and probably a NFL career..

CLEMSON is a no- brainer but his young brain knows NCst since he grew up near there and I understand & can appreciate that.

I can't understand the need to give this decision any thought. I am thankful that when I was this young i was not this foolish. This should really be a no-brainer. The Clemson football program is at its peak. Top notch facilities, graduation rate, producing solid citizens and winning. As a Cornerback you are going against top notch WR's in practice every day and Coach Reed is one of the best teachers of the position. Even if your NFL dream doesn't work out you graduate with a degree from a great school. Someone please wake this young man up!!!!!

I can’t imagine choosing Doreen over Dabo or Nc state over Clemson, everything about Clemson is nicer academically and athletically. His exsposure at Clemson will be 100 fold compared to State.

Rocky Mount is about 2 1/2 hours closer to NCS but the money he will make in being drafted higher will be well worth it plus he will be better prepared for the NFL just by playing the best of teams an in championship games.

I’ve been around both schools and Clemson is the best of the best in how he will grow into a man of character and compete in life as a forever Tiger!!

Rocky Mount NC is 45 minutes from NCSU. You must have googled Rocky Mount VA. I think proximity is the only reason he is considering the wolfcrack.

I would never think this way, but a lot of kids these days think being a standout on a mediocre team gets you more attention/exposure. He saw Chubb do it at NC ST. Plus they know they don’t have to worry about the competition for playing time like they would at Clemson. If he really wants to compete at the highest level, both internally for playing time and also at game time, he will pick Clemson. If not he will need to be satisfied being the big dog in a small pack!

Notice "hard fought battles" is a term in the past tense

Jul 14, 2018, 12:57 PM

because we will beat the Wolfpack like a rented mule this season. I expect the NC State game this year to look like the 2016 Coot game. They may come to Clemson thinking they have a chance, but they will leave with their Wolfpack tail between their legs having had a massive beat down.

Or like we beat NC ST in 2014. 41-0.

The best thing about ncsu is their little girl wolf looks (at least she used to look) really cute. That is about where it ended with them. I hope he is smarter than to choose them over us. He has a chance to be a big part of a dynasty by choosing Clemson. I hope he can see that.

I’ve read his comments several times and I get the sense that he may feel “clemson “ isn’t pursuing him quite as much as he’d like. Maybe it’s just me, but the way he made the comment about having a relationship with cdd and they talked a lot and then he said he and Dabo had exchanged some texts along with cbv some...

Would love to see him come to Clemson and experience the love he’ll receive from the entire Tiger family.

Well, at Clemson he will be another of a stable full of elite athletes, while at ncsu he would probably be the best of the best. The choice is his. I hope he chooses wisely.

quite honestly

It is here for him. Nothing more to say. He’s earned a scholarship offer from the Clemson Tigers. That’s as good as it gets. I wish him well. Tune into any of the sports channels and notice the absence of that silly Wolfie in the background. The Tigers have it going. Things aren’t going to change very much. Join up or tell you kids someday that you had a chance to play for the Tigers. Easy decision really.
