Nothing like coming to your new house to finish moving

Feb 19, 2022, 10:26 AM

Only to find the back door kicked open and 5 TVs, daughters switch and iPad all gone because someone decided you have all the money in the world to replace things at will ????????

That's terrible. Unfortunately, there are some who truly believe that they are obligated to steal; that's their missions on this earth. I tell my wife that my life should have been spent as a professional juror.

My son had his car robbed several weeks ago, and it was parked in his driveway. Fortunately, no damage was done and the only things missing were twenty $2 bills from the glove compartment.

Was it locked?

I hope the doors were locked though it doesn't matter now. But if they weren't locked then it was just too easy for them. To take that much stuff it could have been multiple suspects....wearing professional looking mover's gear and can take their time in a sense.

He was probably scoped out.

No way it could’ve been one person, smallest tv we had was a 55in and I already had them mounted so it took them time.

Yep we already had that scheduled for Tuesday, can’t stand a thief. Finally got my wife her dream home and put everything we had into it just for it to start off like this.

I know I lose hope more and more each day. If they only knew the spot they put us in, but they really wouldn’t care either way. No way I could sleep or look at myself in the mirror knowing I did something like that

Dang sounds scary, I hope it’s just a one off and not the normal type of thing in that neighborhood. What area is it?

Conway and we don’t live in a neighborhood, bought the house my wife has wanted since she was a kid out in the country. It had to be someone that knew us or saw us moving no way it was just random

Yikes! At least that’s what home owners insurance is for, good luck amigo, definitely stinks but try not to let it bother you too much.

I am sorry that happy to you and your family on what should have been a great day! The world has changed so much- when I was growing up- you could leave your house unlocked and come and nothing was touch. Just be happy that it was only items that were taken and nobody in your family was hurt during the break in. Hope they catch the person that did it.

Stepson and roommates got broken into last week at an apartment. Stole 2 tv's an Xbox and Playstation 5 and one's girls jewelry that was passed down through her family (about 8k worth of stuff).

#### shame.

Makes zero sense, shouldn’t have to worry about your things being stolen. It literally isn’t that hard to not be a ###### person. People just aren’t raised right anymore is what it boils down to because a lot of parents (not all) have become lazy. They would rather electronics raise their kids and call it a day.

A lot of homes have both parents working now if they are still together. They have to make ends meet. There isn't as much time around the kids as there was decades ago.

Re: Nothing like coming to your new house to finish moving

Feb 21, 2022, 7:04 AM

That is a choice. We decided my wife would stay home with the kids when they were little. It meant we did without some things that we saw some of our friends doing and having. Didn’t buy new cars every couple of years, didn’t need to have the newest model TV, didn’t go on expensive vacations. We made ends meet on one salary because that’s how we wanted to raise our kids and I don’t expect we’ll ever see one of them stealing other people’s stuff. We all have choices to make.

MJC - living in an isolated area like that I just hope you have good home protection (and I’m not talking insurance) and know how to use it. Be safe!
