Not that big of a point spread for this Saturday. I've seen

Sep 8, 2015, 7:36 PM

Spreads against ACC teams bigger than this. Opened at 21, but down to 17 points.

Partly because they realize Dabo gets as many guys in. I heard the term sweat equity earlier today.

APP isnt exactly tallahatchiecooterwaba state

Sep 8, 2015, 7:43 PM

They're a good team, went 7-5 with a ton of freshmen last year, and those kids arent regressing.
App will be a good challenge for about 25 minutes of play with a good bit of competiton. But the second half app will score maybe a couple field goals and then we just let depth do what it does and never look back.

I'd love to see us score a field goal! Our kicking game was horrible last year. It looked better last week, but that was against Howard. Of course, I'd like to see a few App touchdowns as well.

App State is better than teams like wake and bc

Good.

That's two more workouts for our backups and more rest for our starters.

Who cares about the point spread, just spot the ball and beat the crap out of them.

I would take 21 and Apps Tate.

I think it's a fair line for this game. No, I don't think they could stay with us if we put our best guys out there and opened the playbook. I don't think it's going to go that way.

You do realize that the spread is a just a mid-point of where people are putting their money. It has nothing to do with anything but money, and really its just a poll of the betting public at large.

I thought the opening spread was where the bookies

Sep 8, 2015, 7:54 PM

figured the actual spread would end up because the want equal betting. As the betting favors one side, the line shifts. I thought an opening line of 21 meant the bookies thought 21 would be the spread. I could be wrong. I'm not expert. I don't bet, period. I work too hard for my money and have too many people depending on me. I just use the line to get an idea of what is expected as far as final spread.

It's a number they think that will get the betting public to start putting money on the game and they adjust as the bets come in on one team or another. It's really not that complicated they take a cut on all bets so they make money no matter what, they also track all money coming in and try and move the line to keep everything even. They prefer a push.

You post like you know about l/v gamming and of course
the more you explain, the more YOU are wrong......a PUSH is the last thing
they want....also, you post say they make money on all bets....wrong again, they make their
cut (10%vig) on all losing bets....know your facts!!!!! you would know this if you ever
bet in lv, for one losses more than one wins....
