Streaming TV at tailgate

Anyone use sling, psvue, etc. instead of a dish for tailgating? Can you use public wifi on campus still?

As of last year - still no luck. The signal for either a data plan or wifi is too low with all the people. You have to go the old school route and point a dish at the sky. You can get a few channels with a digital antenna, but probably not what you want to watch.

LMK if you have questions. I run a HD Directv dish from a tripod I put up on my truck bed each time.

You'd have better luck running a digital antenna pointed toward Landrum SC
35.195064, -82.274883

There's a pretty big antenna farm their and it's up pretty high.

Not true. My tailgater receiver went out last season. My friends son ran to his apt. Got his apple tv. Ran it off of Verizon for the remaining 3 games.

Following along on this post as we are wondering the same thing for this season! We were just discussing this last night and what our options might be as we no longer have DISH but now have PS Vue.
