I love it. The price went up on me a month ago, I called and complained and they went back to my original price plus gave me free hbo, Cinemax, etc free for 2 more years. The internet is fast also. I couldn't be happier. F Direct tv!

What is internet fast? Dsl can not be as fast as cable***

I have Charter cable for Internet and Directv for TV. My Internet is 60 MBS, which is way, way, way faster than the DSL I used to have (it was maxed out at 6 MBS at that time and cable was 30 MBS at that time).
I always thought uverse was too expensive whenever I looked at pricing, but they might have become more competitive since then.

I dont see fiber optics ever coming to my podank neighborhood.
Direct tv just can't get their cost down enough for me. I pay $108 for internet, tv, and 3 Cable boxes.
I think cable is like $40 so I'm paying about 60 for tv.

U-verse isn't just DSL. They have fiber in my neighborhood

and while it isn't the "true" fiber, it can still provide internet speeds that are competitive with comcast.
The issue that i have with U-verse is that they market it deceptively to make it sound like you are getting a true 100% fiber connection. I think they actually do offer that service (gigabit internet) but only in select markets in large cities right now. What their fiber actually is in most areas is fiber from AT&T to a node somewhere near your house, and then the same old copper wire from the node to your house. They don't eliminate the old copper wire that causes most internet issues.

I tried AT&T a few years ago on a promotional offer and, to use an old expression, they pump stump water. AND in spite of their three month FREE promotional offer, they insisted on charging me for their service that never worked - literally, it never worked. Never. I was without service for three months before going back to my original provider. Others may have a different experience with AT&T, but I put them in the same category with Sprint, i.e.: liars and thieves with a license to do business as liars and thieves. Don't get me started....

I've had U-Verse for a while, phone , Internet and TV, awsome, they raised my bill, called and complained, they gave me the farm.Had Dish network, and Comcast, no comparison.U-verse way better, and doesn't go out when it rains or gets cloudy

say not Clemson related because half of the topics 'round here are about chickens and former chickens who's fathers get kicked out of strip clubs and shoot people. Anyway, I have Uverse. I live in a place that was designed as apartments but then got converted to condos before the project was finished. I don't know if this high volume is what gives the internet troubles from time to time or not.
I've had no use troubles when I use it at my dad's house, but they have had a few complaints. I don't care for their TV guide. Dish was much better.
